Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Nine

TIFF 2008 has wrapped up for this year! Enjoy my favourite picks from the red carpet on day nine!

My ultimate favourite beauty look! It's just so classic and sophisticated without piling a whole lot of makeup on. Jessica Collins (CSI/Law and Order) wears this look fabulously. I love how the lips are still soft and not super defined. Love it!

The eyes got me. I love Bryce Dallas Howards' overall look. You don't see colour brought all the way up to inner brow bone on a lot of celebrities - this is usually saved for runways or editorials. The shadow is soft and neutral which makes it work well with the rest of her look. She has one of the most interesting looks I've seen for TIFF's red carpet looks. Definitely a perfect look for Fall!

I just love how fresh and radiant Ellen Burstyn looks. I hope to age as gracefully!

See you next year where we'll be back dishing on TIFF's red carpet beauties!

Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Seven

Rachel McAdams definitely redeemed herself on day 7. I loved how youthful and fresh her overall look was.

I love a lady in red. Rose McGowan looked very Jessica Rabbit-esque.

It doesn't take a lot of makeup to make Amanda Peet's baby blues pop.

Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Six

Day 6 of TIFF was kind of meh for me, but I did find a hit and a few misses!

My favourite look of Day 6 was Sophia Bush and of all the days, Day 6 was her best look. Her look here is effortless.

Her look here from a previous night - not so much. It just looks too contrived and the pale skin, tomato red lips, and the bright orange dress just seemed a little off.

I'm a huge fan of Rachel McAdams, but not a huge fan of the granny style hair and dress. I love vintage dresses and if that is the look she was going for, her hair needed to be a bit more youthful. It just looks a little too helmet-head for me.

I know everyone bashes Paris Hilton, but seriously. Why couldn't she leave the mullet at home?? Her asymmetrical bob is "hot" enough on its own.

Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Five

Day 5 was all about luminous skin and more dark rimmed eyes! My faves:

Jessica Biel letting her beauty shine through in natural luminous, tones.

Kate Beckinsale's skin looks flawless and I love the touch of pink blush and glossy pink lips with her dark khol rimmed eyes. It's a more playful approach to this look. Bronzed cheeks and pale nude lips sometimes looks too harsh and drab when matched with black liner.

Rachel Blanchard's look is simple yet polished. Her eyes are only lined on the top lash line and skin glows in all the right places.

Emmanuelle Chriqui draws attention with her eyes, lined with black liner and emphasized with some flirty falsies.

Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Four

Keira Knightley looks divine (I just wish her tiny little frame didn't make her head look so big...). Her sultry eyes in washes of brown and taupe, sculpted cheeks, and matte neutral lips are one of the hottest looks for Fall.

I didn't add this photo of Jennifer Aniston because I liked her look. Is it just me or are we getting a little tired of the girl-next-door-beach-babe look? She needs to switch up her look, do something a little more daring. I guess I was expecting her to bump it up a notch especially since there was the chance she would bump into her ex, Mr. Jolie. And what is with her come-hither pose and puckered lips? Maybe she was in mid tossle-of-the-hair, who knows but she ain't got nothin' on Angelina (yes, she's a homewrecker but she's still hot)!

Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Three

Black was the popular colour for Day 3 of TIFF '08. You can never go wrong with a little black dress on the red carpet. Here are my favourites beauties from day 3!

We all remember falling in love with Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries but she didn't really catch my attention until her lead role in Devil Wears Prada. She was in Toronto promoting Rachel Getting Married, where she plays a sombre role as a messed up ex-model fresh out of rehab. I love her shoulder length bob with soft waves. She has the natural beauty of old Hollywood's glamourous ladies making anything you put on her effortless.

I had never heard of Willa Holland until yesterday, but if you're an O.C. fan then you know she played Mischa Barton's sister. Minus the pale skin, I love the dark black liner heavily lining the eyes with soft cheeks and lips. I haven't done this look in a while...I love inspirations!

Toronto Film Fest Beauties 2008: Day Two

While the hottest fashions in NY are heating up the runways, Toronto is buzzing with celebrities attending the hottest film festival in the world. Besides all the gossip about Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt running into each other, everyone is talking about the red carpet beauties. No one really stood out to me on Day 1 of TIFF, but Day 2 brought out some young A-listers glammed out. Check out my favourites from Day 2 looking pretty in some of Fall's hottest beauty trends.

Flawless skin and soft muted colours was all Claire Danes needed to hit the red carpet. Beige and taupes accents on the eyes, browny-pink blush to give the face some warmth, and creamy pinky-beige lipstick looks great any time of the day.

Alicia Keys knows what makes her eyes stand out. Black liner winged out for a cat eye effect with some falsies on the outer lash can glam up any look.

It's all about neutral tones this Fall and Jennifer Hudson wears it well. Her eyes sparkle with gold shadow on the lids and warm brown blush and caramel lips are the perfect compliment.
